NOTICE TO FRESH STUDENTS (2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR)
REGISTRATION PROCESS

The Management of Takoradi Technical University wishes to welcome all Freshmen and Women to campus to begin the 2020/2021 Academic Year.

As part of the measures to ensure smooth registration and strict adherence to the Covid-19 protocols, all fresh students are to follow the steps below to ensure their safety and smooth registration.

STEP 1

ACCOMMODATION: Fresh students are to secure and confirm their accommodation

a. Private Hostel: Students who have secured accommodation at private hostels should contact their hostel manager/care-taker for room allocation. In case of any issues, contact the Dean of Students’ Affairs (0243225527).

b. University Residence (Hall): All students who have duly paid for any of the university accommodation (Hall of Residence) should report at their respective Halls of Residence to secure their rooms. Please contact the Hall Administrator and verify your room and bed number.

c. Students who paid for Nzima-Mensah, Ahanta or GHACEM Hall before 31st December 2020, and have not received a text message confirming room allocation should kindly make a top-up amount of GH¢300.00 to make a total of GH¢1,300.00 to get a room at the University Hall.

STEP 2

REGISTRATION:

a. ALL fresh students must log in to mail.google.com to activate their school e-mail account from Monday, 11th January 2021 using their index number plus @ttu.edu.gh eg. email for index no 0720123456 will be 0720123456@ttu.edu.gh email for index no BT/AAA/20/012 will be BTAAA20012@ttu.edu.gh Use your portal password.

b. Students must log in to their portal (records.ttuportal.com) with their school email from Wednesday, 13th January 2021 and confirm:

i. the spelling of your name

ii. the arrangement of your name in this order (Surname, First name and Other names)

iii. your date of birth.

iv. if all fees paid have reflected on your portal
– if the fees have not reflected, please visit the Legal Office located at the Annan Block with your pay-in-
slip if your fee has not reflected.
– if fees paid have been confirmed by Finance.

        – contact your Faculty Accountant if the fees have not been confirmed.

c. Click on Course Registration to register your courses.

STEP 3

MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS:

After completion of steps 1 and 2, students are to proceed to the University Health Centre (School Clinic) to commence the medical examinations.

ADHERENCE TO COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

– All fresh students must wash their hands at all the entry points into the university

– Students must carry a bottle of hand sanitizer throughout the registration process and orientation

– Students must wear nose/face mask at all times

– Keep a distance from others to avoid contamination – Where necessary, apply hand sanitizers to protect yourselves to help stop the spread.

The University is prepared to protect you and encourage you to be responsible in ensuring that we stop the spread.

STUDENTS WITH DISABILITY

REGISTRATION:

All students who have any form of recognized disability (deaf, physically challenged, albinos etc.) and who wish that the University recognized that and adjust a process, policy or procedure to support their disability must register with Disability Support and Services Unit at the University Hall GF 2.

Students under the same conditions above, shall have direct access to registration officers, without joining any queue where there is. Any of such students may contact the following facilitators/interpreters for support and services where necessary:
