Most of you students have a different perspection towards the programme of study you applied for after going through orientation or having sat in lessons for a few days/weeks. It is normal to feel “I don’t belong here”.

Making a decision to study at a university can be challenging, considering the fact that you may be so naïve when you just came out of SHS, or some parents having to choose programmes for you.

Over the years, Koforidua Technical University has always given a window of opportunity to interested and qualified first-year students, who wish to change their Programmes or Sessions, to apply for consideration.

From now till that window is opened, if you have any doubts or found any reason you are not in the right programme, I will advise you discuss with your parents or caretakers and take that opportunity to change your progamme or session.

Changing Sessions

The university used to have 3 sessions namely:

  1. Morning Session
  2. Evening Session
  3. Weekend Session

These sessions are most suitable for the categories of students who enter into a university, the Morning session is suitable for continuing students coming out of SHS who are younger.

Evening Session, suitable for younger students who may when to take up a joke or a trade and will when to attend lessons in the evenings.
