#UDS: Only First Class Students Will Attend Graduation

The management of the University for Development Studies (UDS) through the office of the registrar, have released the date for their 21st annual congregation.

This year’s graduation which is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2020, will as usual take place at the Tamale campus inside the MultiPurpose Auditorium.

Due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, all diploma and undergraduate students will join the congregation via zoom virtual platform. This is with the exception of undergraduate first class graduands, postgraduate and PhD candidates who will will be physically attending the congregation.

Due to the pandemic, graduands who will be physically attending have been advised not to bring along guests. They are also supposed to be in nose masks.

Payment of Congregation Fees

Graduands (Undergraduates and Graduates) are required to pay an amount of Two Hundred and Ninety Ghana Cedis (GHS290.00) as Congregation fees.

This should be paid into the Graduation Fees Account of UDS at any National Investment Bank branch in the country, before or by November 13, 2020.

A duplicate copy of the pay-in-slip should be submitted at the point of collection of certificates on the Campus after the ceremony. Graduands are advised not to post the duplicate copies, but rather bring them along when they are coming to pick their certificates.

Graduands attending the ceremony will be expected to make their own arrangements for transportation, accommodation and meals.

Dress Code

The dress code is strictly formal attire and the academic gown. Graduands who do not adhere to this will not be permitted to participate in the Ceremony.

Issuance of Certificates

Graduands who are to participate in the face-to-face Congregation will be issued certificates on the same day. The rest of the graduands can pick their certificates from Monday, November 16, 2020.
