The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced it will from Monday begin a series of power cuts to most parts of Accra and surrounding towns to enable its engineers “undertake emergency maintenance work”.

Accordingly, residents will be without light for seven hours each day from December 16 to December 20 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The maintenance exercise, which the power distributor explained seeks to “improve service delivery,” will see Taifa, Dzorwulu, Kwabenya, Valley View, Oyibi and Teshie go off on Monday.

Power to Sowutuom, Achobo Best, Peace FM, Santana Market, Baah Yard, Masalachi, Awoshie, A Lang, Nsawam, Gbawe, Mallam, Dzorwulu, Abelenkpe, Plant Pool and Dimples will be cut off.
