KTU SRC Keen On Addressing The Conditional Student Issue
Share Share Share Share Share
Listen to article

The issue of Conditional Students has been with us for some time now, it is not new to us but I believe it became an issue when the Governing Council of this noble institution decided to write to remind affected students.

In the letter, an extension was granted to students who failed to redeem themselves after the fourth semester (second year, second semester) of the 2018/2019 academic year. Even though the conditions were attached to their admission letters.

Management has extended up to the end of the 2019/2020 (first semester) for all affected students to redeem the deficiency in their entry results and failure to meet this new deadline, the conditions attached to the bond which they signed for admissions as a conditional student will be strictly enforced.

I wish to take this opportunity as SRC President to address the issue of conditional students, to start with, I will urge all affected students that, all is not lost, we are in discussions with management for alternative and best arrangement for possible extension again.

While we are engaging with management, we will strongly advise that each student take the little time to read through their admission letter and understand the offer of admission gained and the necessary steps to take to redeem themselves as soon as possible.

I wish you travelling mercies as you embark on the Christmas break, the semester task awaits us, continues to read your books during this festive season.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year hope to see you next year.

Honestly this s*x administration is weak as compare to the previous ones. Students who are on the student loan trust fund are to look for money to pay fees by writing exams and now conditional students too they couldn’t convince the administration. They are saying up to the end of this semester but the question is, has wassce or Nov Dec started this month?
And even if it has started this month, can they release results by the end of the semester?

The Access Course exam that was written was mainly organized for those in service now, as we came things have not been made clear to us and due to that most of us couldn’t write, me for instance, the day I got to know that Access exams will take place was the day they were writing core maths, with little preparation I went to do my best without registering. I don’t know my status now whether I failed or passed.
Information circulated that another Access exams will take place for those that couldn’t write and till now
