What will you do if someone you revere forces you to marry someone you are not in love with?
What if the person you’re being asked to marry is already carrying the child of another man?
Well, this is the story of the assistant pastor of a popular Church in the country.
According to him, his bishop is asking him to marry his oldest daughter who is pregnant for another man just because the man is a Muslim.
Sharing his dilemma with Abena Magis Manokekame on Facebook, the assistant pastor said “the daughter said it was something she couldn’t control and had a one-night stand with the guy. The guy doesn’t know she is pregnant.”
He says, the bishop who took him abroad to do his masters is asking him to pay back all he (the bishop) spent on him during his study if he refuses to marry the daughter.
Also, he would have to leave the church.
If he complies with the demand, however, the bishop has promised to give the church’s branch in the UK and half of his wealth to the assistant pastor.
Even though he doesn’t want to leave the church he has laboured for all these years, the assistant pastor says he has found love in another woman.
This clearly pass for a case of being stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea.
