Ace-broadcaster, Kwame Sefa Kayi who was the Master of Ceremony at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which was held last Saturday has revealed that the winners for the two unannounced categories were Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
According to Kwame Sefa Kayi, they intentionally withheld the two prestigious awards because they belonged to both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
Following the unexpected pandemonium which broke out at the VGMAs, the winners for the ‘Most Popular Song Of The Year’ and ‘Artist Of The Year’ were not announced. Organizers of the event Charter House in a press release stated that the winners of the withheld awards would be announced in a press conference later this week.
However, speaking in an interview this morning, Kwame Sefa Kayi revealed that the reason why the winners for the award were unannounced was because one of the awards belonged to Stonebwoy and the other to Shatta Wale.
Failing to reveal who exactly won which award, the Chairman General said, the decision not to announce the winners was to prevent another chaos from happening.
