Barely 72 hours to the 2018 KTU SRC Awards which comes off on Saturday, 12th May 2018, we saw a statement yesterday issued and signed by the CEO of Lumen Entertainment Ghana, (the main organiser), the SRC President and the Awards Committee Chairman disqualifying Bla Blight from all Categories he had picked nominations on the awards night
“Rules and Regulations were made known to each and every nominee of the 2018 KTU SRC Awards Of which all are to abide by the rules and regulations respectively. Mr. BRIGHT AIKINS (BLA BLIGHT) violated the rules by posting a video which is full of unsuitable words and due to that has disrespected the management and the entire body of the Award which includes every nominee.
On this Note he has been disqualified from all the Categories he had nominations.
Maximum respect is given to each and every nominee on this platform…”
Speaking to KTUinsider on the incident, Bla Blight said he posted a video in a whatsApp group created for all nominees for the awards and no such roles where given to them on posting irrelevant materials on the group, he added that some nominees have also posted materials which were unrelated to the goals of the groups
According to him, he believes that, organisers were not been fair with him, “at lease for the first time, I should have been given a warning and not disqualifying me from ALL categories I have nominations on”.
The said purported video is a funny cartoon about the SRC organiser which is widely circulating on campus and “I believe that is the reason for my disqualification” he said
He is assuring all his fans that there is no cause for alarm and that the SRC Awards organisers should come clear with the basics for his disqualification as that can go a long way to affecting his music carrier.
Bla Blight picked nominations forms on those categories

This is not the first time his doing as a thing… I think with the disqualification, it would serve as a warning to each and everyone of us… Thank you
