Salima is a girl of 16 years who is always being harassed by a minister in her town.

Being a good girl she reported to her parents in which her parents told her she was a lucky girl to have gotten in contact with a rich and powerful man on her side.

The harassment went too far that she got fed up and reported the issue to her class teacher. Her class teacher was very helpful which he reported the issue to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana police service where the minister was arrested and jailed for two years for harassing a girl under age of 18. Salima was lucky to have a good and helpful class teacher.

And also she was brave enough to have reported and she got solutions to her problems.

Most young girls are going through same situations, if you find yourself in a similar issues like this, I will advise you to voice out or report to the nearest NGO or police and secure you future.

Child abuse and child harassment must stop in Ghana and we all as citizens have a role to make this stop
